Hometowne USA
is home to a number of quartets. Quartet singing is considered, by many, the focal point of
the Society. After all, the Barbershop Harmony Society was founded as the
Society for the
Preservation and
Encouragement of
Barber

Quartet
Singing
in
America .
We encourage our members to get involved in quartet singing and the result has been the
formation of several very capable quartets.
Singing in a quartet is the most traditional way to perform Barbershop music, but quartet
singing is equally suited to doo-wop, ballads, Broadway show tunes and many pop songs. Some
of our quartets focus on traditional Barbershop tunes, while others specialize in more
contemporary music. There is something about four-part close harmony that touches you deep
inside and makes listening a joy.
Several of our quartets have been pleasing audiences for
years. We also have several new quartets. Take a look at their pages and see how
they can provide entertainment for your social event. Our quartest have performed for weddings,
parties, fraternal organizations, clubs, funerals, you name it.
Precision Tuned enjoys singing a wide variety of songs, with a preference for more contemporary music.
The President's Men present a performance that will keep their audience on the edge of the seat. Songs sung with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure.
The SilverSounds have been together for a short time but encompase over 60 years of barbershop experience between them.
The Glen Echoes have sung as a featured quartet on several recent Hometowne USA shows, singing a mix of barbershop and Doo-Wop.
