A couple of times each year Hometowne USA
invites back its former members
on "Old Timers' Night" to sing with our current members. It is great to have them back to renew acquaintances and sing with both younger ond older friends again. Check out our events page to find out when our next guest night will be held.
During the evening or at refreshment time, we often have old timers form spontaneous quartets, which could include you, if you're so inclined. One of our chapter officers will introduce the Old Timers and all in all, it's a fun time for everyone.
Many of the Old Timers who have returned have been retired men who have had some health problems or travel north-to-south annually, that prevents them from being regular members.
However, one retired "old timer," gone for several years, decided last year to return and sing bass again with us full-time, and it is a joy to have back his smile and voice. We're trying to get some old time tenors back too! We hope that all former members and visitors will watch this Website for announcements of Old Timers' Nights (the most recent held the first week in January) and be sure to come and join us. Remember our moto: Keep the Whole World (and yourself) Singing !
If you have questions about our organization, or just want more information in general about singing with us, please contact Jay Reiss by email or by phone at (301)-217-0051.
